Senadino Mage
1. Character: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Khadgar&cn=Senadino
2. Do you consider your self a team player? If so please give an in-game related example of what you did to make yourself raid productive.
-Yes, I've always been a team player trying to figure out what's going wrong in whichever raid I'm in. In terms of raid productive, I always keep the right set of potions, feasts, reagents, and my Jeeves around so that the raid can move along with minimal interruptions. As an example, for three years I led teams of players into horde cities on “commando” missions to keep us more tight as a raiding unit and united as a cohesive group.
3. Do you use everything at your disposal to make yourself the best at your class? Please give an in-game related example of what you did to be the best at your class.
-I play well and will do whatever is possible to stay alive while doing proper DPS throughout a fight. Many are concerned about putting up high DPS numbers, but neglect dodging and getting out of “the fire” all this does is make others jobs harder. A raid is a living unit and one part doing ones job, but making it more difficult for others to do theirs does the group a net detriment.
4. If you were to screw up in the raid more than once per night, or if your DPS/HPS was slacking consecutively. What would you do to correct this problem? Please give an example of when you did this.
-If I make several mistakes and I'm not learning how to do my job in the encounter right. Replace me.
5. If you have access to a WWS report, please post a link here. -No.
6. What are your past and current guilds? Secondly, explain why you left each guild. (Even if you’re a server transfer.)
-Everquest, I was in Shadowed Soul, a top 10 guild for 6 years. I left to play wow.
I played with Scion since closed beta as a dwarf mage. Then when they got rid of that, a human mage. I played with Scion as a member and subsequently as a raid officer/recruit officer since WOW was out. Then I went to Germany for some school and they broke up. When I came back to America I got involved in surgery and I haven't been in a guild since. I was in Archaic for a period of three weeks as a “friend and family” but I got drunk one night and apparently quit.
7. Sauce as a guild is on the leading edge of new in-game content. What in-game content have you experienced. (Both new and old)
-I have raided EVERYTHING on a top 25 guild basis prebc. BC I didn't really play, but I have since done all of those instances. For Frozen Throne I've done everything except end uludar, TOGC25, and ICC past Rotgore.
8. Even some of the best players have attitudes. Try to explain your personality in 3 or 4 words. (This question is relative, try your best to explain yourself.)
-Sarcastic, Driven.
9. Do you have a stable computer and internet connection that will not hinder the raid progress as a whole? For the insurance of the guild, we ask you to put the simple specs of you computer. (RAM, processor, video card.)
Processor x86 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10 GenuineIntel ~3325 Mhz
Total Physical Memory 4,096.00 MB
Name ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series
10. What is your personal opinion on bagged milk? (Try to take this question seriously; it greatly affects your chances of getting in to Sauce.)
-I grew up both near and in Canada, bagged milk works, but putting the bag in the pitcher is a bitch and I find it an annoyance.
11. If you were to get a new piece of main-spec gear, how quickly would you have it enchanted/gemmed?
-In the same raid if possible?
12. Even though Sauce is very competitive we raid only three hardcore nights a week. These days and times are: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; from 7-11 pm. Sauce has two separate ranks of raiders:
Raider – People that are positive they can make three nights a week of raids.
Reserve – People that can only make 1-2 days, or are maybe late a couple of nights.
Please state which of these positions you are applying for.
I'm fairly busy IRL. Sometimes I need to take odd call. Most weeks I can make at least two, but at this time I'm unsure if I can be full raider. I am comfortable saying I can be a solid reserve.
Muzz and I ran with this guy in a toc 25 and he was very good on raid awareness.
It should also be noted that with his current gear he was out DPSing me. Wonder what he does with a few pieces of t10 / icc 25 gear...
I wouldn't mind seeing him in Sauce.
Bob, thoughts?
I know it's late notice, but I can probably talk with you around 6pm on Sunday (today) or Monday after 7.
In your defense, I can see where you're coming from.
I am not really fond of any mage spec that does not put points in incanter's absorption and magic attunement, nor do I understand the desire to max your points in student of the mind. Additionally why waste a point to give your frost spells an extra 5% chance to freeze targets? Would you mind explaining why you chose the spec you chose?
~Vintagebob
-incanter's absorption
The incanters absorption I definitely agree with. This stems mostly from my benefits from spr to crit with my old set. When I drop student of the mind I'll move it to absorption.
-magic attunement
Mostly when I was doing pickups we never used it, and I never had a particular problem with range. If I start having to use AM/DM I can change this, It's my impression that if one of the raid mages has it there isn't a reason for two to have it.
-the desire to max your points in student of the mind.
This was the spec I used when I had significant bonus from spirit into crit. So that was the reason for the student of the mind. This will change as I recently got some better gear with a diff bonus.
-Additionally why waste a point to give your frost spells an extra 5% chance to freeze targets?
This stems from me being chased during crappy groups with my frost armor on in pickups.
I have no problem changing my spec around as I play with people that have better skills. The spec that I have now will change as I raid more and change set bonus, I just hadn't gotten to it yet =)
